Statue of Vajra Wisdom Deity Mitrugpa | Gold-Gilded Icon

Vajra Wisdom Deity Mitrugpa measures 11.2 inches (28.5 cm) in height with a 9.6-inch (24.5 cm) wide base and weighs 4.01 kilograms. Expertly made from a durable copper body, it is adorned with radiant triple-layer 24K gold gilding and enriched with intricate gold and acrylic paintings with 3D-like carvings. A fine representation of traditional Himalayan artistry, this piece adds a sacred and timeless presence to any altar, meditation space, or spiritual setting.

Mitrugpa Buddha is serenely seated atop a moon disc lotus seat in a lotus posture. The lotus disc represents purity, enlightenment, and the triumph of spirit over adversity. He holds an upright vajra, a ritual item, in his right hand while performing the 'Bhumisparsa mudra,' representing the moment the Buddha attained enlightenment, claiming the earth as his witness with his left hand.

In Vajrayana Buddhism, Buddha Akshobhya, sometimes referred to as Mitrupa or the Unshakable One is one of the Five Dhyani Buddhas. He stands for the way that rage and hostility are transformed into the clear, introspective insight that recognizes reality for what it is. Deep blue is a hue that is frequently used to represent Akshobhya, signifying the depth and breadth of his intellect.
