Golden Vajradhara Buddha Handmade Statue | Himalayan Artwork

This Vajradhara Buddha handmade statue measures 13.0”/33cm in height and 10.0”/25.5cm at the base, weighing 4.48 kg. Expertly handcrafted from a copper body, it is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. Created by skilled Nepali artisans, this statue embodies the essence of the primordial Buddha, making it a powerful addition to altars, meditation spaces, or refined spiritual collections.

The Golden Primordial Buddha Vajradhara is recognized by the ushnisha on his head, a mark of ultimate spiritual awakening. He dons a five-pointed crown representing the Five Dhyani Buddhas and their enlightened virtues. Depicted in the embracing (yab-yum) mudra, he symbolizes the union of wisdom and compassion, holding a vajra in his right hand for skillful means and a bell in his left for wisdom. Seated in the vajrasana pose on a lotus base, he exudes strength and transcendence. A swirling scarf flows around him, adding movement, while his ornate decorations highlight his role as the primordial Buddha and the origin of all tantric traditions.

Vajradhara is regarded as the primordial Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the ultimate embodiment of the dharmakāya—the formless, absolute truth beyond duality. He is considered the source of all tantric teachings and the essence of enlightenment itself, transcending all conceptual limitations. As the cosmic Buddha from whom all Buddhas and teachings emanate, Vajradhara unifies wisdom (prajñā) and skillful means (upāya) and is often visualized in a meditative embrace, symbolizing the inseparability of these enlightened qualities.
