Description

Hand-Crafted Vajrapani Statue | Bodhisattva of Fearless Action and Spiritual Strength

Hand-Crafted Vajrapani Statue measures 20.5”/52cm in height with a 15.7”/40cm base and weighs 9.04 kg. Crafted with a copper body, the sculpture is enriched with gold and acrylic painting and carefully placed gemstones. Its surface features deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect, creating pronounced depth and definition across the robes, ornaments, jewelry, and decorative elements. The intricate carving work is complemented by refined painted details and gemstone embellishments, creating a harmonious balance of texture, color, and dimension. The combination of detailed engraving and traditional metal craftsmanship gives the sculpture a distinctive and finely finished character.

Vajrapani is depicted in a powerful wrathful form with a deep blue complexion, one face, three wide-open eyes, a fierce expression, and bared fangs, conveying the force of enlightened protection. His right arm is raised dynamically and holds a vajra, while the left arm bends across the body, contributing to the energetic posture. His legs are spread in a forceful dancing stance, with both feet positioned above a long horizontal decorative element and the lotus pedestal below. He wears an elaborate crown with intricate gold detailing and skull motifs, large circular earrings, layered necklaces, bracelets, arm ornaments, and richly decorated garments. A prominent garland of skulls surrounds the upper body, while flowing ribbons and ornamental forms extend outward from the figure. Behind him is a large multilayered aureole decorated with deeply carved red and dark green patterns, golden flame motifs, and a fierce face at the top center, with additional pale sculptural figures along both sides. The body, crown, jewelry, garments, aureole, and lotus pedestal feature extensive floral, scrolling, flame, and ornamental carvings, while the richly painted red, green, blue, white, and gold details create strong contrast and emphasize the intricate Himalayan craftsmanship.
