Crafted from a copper body, 24K gold gilding, gold and acrylic paintings, and hand-carved gemstones. Representing the revered Tibetan yogini and founder of the Chöd lineage, this sacred sculpture embodies the essence of feminine wisdom, tantric practice, and spiritual empowerment in Vajrayana Buddhism. The left hand holds a bell, representing wisdom and the feminine principle. Her right hand typically holds a damaru (drum), symbolizing the sound of emptiness and the call to the practice of Chöd. Her body is often depicted as youthful and radiant, representing the blissful nature of realization. The halo of flames surrounding her signifies the burning away of ignorance and obstacles, a common feature in depictions of enlightened beings who have overcome all defilements. The lotus base represents purity and the blossoming of enlightenment from the mud of samsara (cyclic existence).
