Handcrafted Vajrayogini Ucheyma Statue| Chinnamasta

This handmade Vajrayogini statue, also known as the queen of the dakinis, stands at 16.1”/41cm in height and 11.6”/29.5cm at the base, weighing 3.90 kg. It is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, adorned with gemstones and handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Vajrayogini's fierce compassion, transforming ordinary experiences into paths of awakening. It makes an ideal centerpiece for advanced tantric practice, altars, or sacred collections.

The Headless Vajrayogini, inspired by the fierce form of Chinnamasta, stands in a dynamic posture upon the figures of Rati and Kama, symbolizing the triumph over desire and ego. Her right hand holds a kartika knife, while her left carries a skull cup that supports her own severed head, signifying the transcendence of the self. From her open neck flow three streams of blood—one entering her own mouth, representing the continuous cycle of life, death, and enlightenment. She is adorned with a garland of skulls and wears a fierce expression with three eyes, embodying wisdom and awareness that pierce through illusion. The goddess stands gracefully upon a sun-disc lotus base, encircled by a halo of radiant flames, symbolizing purity and spiritual transformation. This form of Vajrayogini reflects the ultimate realization of emptiness and the self-offering of the ego to attain supreme wisdom.

Chinnamasta, known as the self-decapitated goddess, represents one of the most profound and paradoxical symbols in tantric Buddhism and Hinduism. Her story embodies the unity of life, death, and regeneration. According to ancient texts, Chinnamasta was once with her two attendants, Dakini and Varnini, who became extremely hungry after bathing. In an act of supreme compassion, the goddess severed her own head and allowed her blood to flow into their mouths, nourishing them. Even in her headless state, she continued to stand calm and radiant, drinking her own blood from the middle stream, signifying self-sustainment and the endless cycle of creation and dissolution.
