This golden statue of Venerated Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, measures 26.6”/67.5cm in height and 16.9”/43cm at the base and weighs 21.49 kg. Made from copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. Guru Rinpoche, also revered as Padmasambhava, is honored as the Second Buddha and a central figure in establishing Vajrayana Buddhism. His right hand wields a vajra, representing unshakable wisdom and penetrating clarity. Resting against his shoulder is the khatvanga trident, a tantric emblem of his consort and mastery over the three realms. This trident also embodies the Three Kayas: Dharmakaya (truth body, the essence of ultimate reality), Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body, perceived by advanced practitioners), and Nirmanakaya (emanation body, appearing in the world to guide sentient beings).
