In Tibetan Buddhism, White Mahakala is revered as a powerful protector of the Dharma and a bringer of spiritual and material well-being. Associated with the Shangpa Kagyu lineage but widely practiced across all schools, he is a wrathful aspect of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Chenrezig. He pacifies poverty, grants spiritual accomplishments, and clears away the inner and outer blockages that impede spiritual growth.
