White Mahakala Sacred Statue | Compassionate Protector Deity in Tibetan Buddhism

White Mahakala Sacred Statue measures 9.06”/23cm in height with a 6.89”/17.5cm base and weighs 1.55 kg, showcasing the refined character of traditional Nepalese Buddhist metalwork. Handcrafted from a copper body, the sculpture is enriched with gold and acrylic painting, allowing the sculpted details to stand out with greater depth and clarity while preserving the expressive quality of the form. The careful finishing reflects the skill of Nepalese artisans and the enduring craftsmanship associated with Himalayan sacred sculpture. White Mahakala is especially associated with prosperity, abundance, protection, and the removal of material and spiritual obstacles, giving this piece meaningful significance for Buddhist practice, meditation spaces, altars, Dharma centers, or sacred art collections.

White Mahakala is depicted in a powerful wrathful form with a white complexion, three eyes, a fierce expression, bared fangs, and flaming hair beneath an elaborate crown. He has six arms extending around the body, each holding a distinct ritual attribute, while the central hands present sacred objects close to the chest. His body is richly adorned with skull ornaments, necklaces, bracelets, armlets, and flowing scarves, while a patterned lower garment adds further detail to the composition. He stands firmly upon several subdued figures, emphasizing his forceful protective activity and the overcoming of obstacles. A large red and orange flaming aureole completely surrounds the figure, creating a dramatic backdrop filled with curling flame motifs. The lotus pedestal is richly painted in dark tones with repeated carved petals and ornamental borders. The contrasting white body, vibrant red and green details, elaborate attributes, deeply modeled ornaments, and extensive painted and carved decoration demonstrate the intricate craftsmanship of the sculpture.
