Handcrafted White Tara Sculpture | Seven Eyes of Wisdom and Enlightened Grace

This Handcrafted White Tara Sculpture measures 20.4”/52cm in height with a 14.1”/36cm base and weighs 13.42 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal from a copper body, the sculpture is finished with 24K gold gilding, detailed acrylic painting, and carefully placed gemstones that add luminosity, color, and refined decorative depth to the surface. Its substantial proportions, precise metalwork, and meticulous hand-finishing reflect the skill of Nepalese artisans and the enduring traditions of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. Spiritually, the figure is associated with compassion, longevity, healing, protection, and the creation of favorable conditions for continued spiritual practice.

This White Tara is depicted in her peaceful seven-eyed form, seated in lalitasana upon an intricately carved double-lotus throne. Her left leg is drawn inward while her right leg extends gracefully forward, expressing readiness to respond with compassionate activity. She has a serene white complexion, one peaceful face, two primary eyes, an additional eye on the forehead, and eyes represented on the palms and soles, symbolizing all-seeing compassionate awareness. Her right hand extends downward in varada mudra, expressing generosity and the granting of blessings, while her left hand is raised near the heart in a protective and instructive gesture, with lotus blossoms rising beside both shoulders. She wears an elaborate five-jeweled crown, large earrings, layered necklaces, armlets, bracelets, waist ornaments, and richly patterned silk garments. The finely carved jewelry, floral lotus stems, flowing scarves, detailed garment patterns, and individually modeled lotus petals demonstrate refined Himalayan craftsmanship, while the white body, vibrant turquoise, red, green, and gold accents, and richly ornamented throne create a harmonious sacred presence.
