Description

Traditionally Hand Carved Yogi Buddha Shakyamuni Statue

We have exquisitely sculpted this captivating Yogi Buddha Shakyamuni Statue using techniques handed down through the generations. We molded the figurine out of pure copper before being gilded with 24K real gold. We have portrayed the deity as having a serene facial expression while seated on a moon-disc lotus seat and donning golden Kasaya robes. While his right hand rests lightly on the ground, his left hand holds an alms bowl. The hand carving of the intricate design patterns on the robe is the main highlight of the statue. It took us months and months of hard work and dedication to complete the statue.

This figurine will be a perfect gift from Nepal to a devotee like you that will aid you in your practices and regular activities such as meditation and yoga.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
